Micah Ryu was called to the bar in Ontario in 2021 and began his career at a very prominent law firm in Toronto. He has a versatile commercial and civil litigation practice and has appeared before every level of court in Ontario, including successfully arguing at the Court of Appeal to overturn a judgment of the Superior Court of Justice.

His prior experience in diverse industries, including politics, construction, journalism, and agriculture, allow him to quickly grasp the ins and outs of a variety of disputes. This includes understanding his clients' interests in light of commercial realities and practically situating them in the legal landscape to formulate the best strategy to protect their interests. 

Micah can sing the national anthem of any country in the world. Jonathan Ku was admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong in 2022 and called to the Ontario Bar in 2024. He practices civil and commercial litigation with particular capability in cross-jurisdictional matters requiring coordination across different legal systems, languages, cultural contexts, and time zones.

Jonathan’s litigation practice developed through high-conflict family law matters in Hong Kong—contentious custody and financial disputes that established his operational framework for emotionally charged, adversarial proceedings. This foundation carried into an accelerated trajectory handling multi-party commercial disputes, insolvency proceedings, real estate litigation, and employment matters across jurisdictions.

In Canada, he has appeared at multiple levels: tribunals (HRTO, LTB, Small Claims Court, TICO), Superior Court, bankruptcy proceedings, and Court of Appeal. His approach emphasizes strategic collaboration with clients to develop practical solutions when conventional paths prove inadequate.

Jonathan is trilingual (English, Cantonese, Mandarin) and maintains active media presence in both Hong Kong and Canadian diaspora communities.
